The ones we have made were all in acrylic but I assume other materials would work equally as well. The parts are made to fit some basic pendant hardware that is available at Lowes for $18: http://www.lowes.com/pd_268807-1811-CPD-11MBK_?PL=1&productId=3366816 Additionally, you will need a few zip ties for assembly.
