We've been working on The Open Source Drone Project with Printotype for 10 months to create a modular drone that can be printed on any entry level home 3D printer. It's a delta, pusher prop designed to accomodate a front facing camera and a large bay to house electronics and a large battery. When printed at full size, the aircraft weighs approximately 1.5KG when printed in ABS. The airframe is built for speed and has a stall speed of 35mph. The modular design is extremely strong, although does add a small amount of weight to the frame over it being printed in one piece. Please add your photos as you build, and feel free to suggest design improvements and suggestions or questions! We'll be adding a list of recommended RC gear to kit out the aircraft shortly.
