This extruder selector is ideal for use with a vertical X axis. It has not been tested as I do not currently possess any hotends, but it mounts easily in front of the large gear on your machine. Up to 10 different hotends can be mounted while maintaining reasonable palette size. The design takes into account parametric and multiple extruder configurations (link provided). To test the fit and functionality, I printed one model and added extra space for bowden tubes to move freely. However, with 4mm tubes, this space could potentially be reduced.
