3D printed working model of a Beam Engine based on the original part finished design used by Gerry. Most parts are redesigned and added where required. The model runs on low pressure compressed air. 2.5mm dia stainless rod has been used on all linkage points to ensure smooth running and durability. The use of 'Linkage' programme was essential to enable correct design of linkages required for the engine to run. The Watts linkage to enable clean vertical movement of the piston rod was paramount.
