As every Terraforming Mars player knows the player board is a real pain in the a..... I small hit, a tiny wind blow and your cubes are everywhere on the table. I even saw on YouTube people taking pictures of their mat during gameplay :-( As I searched for a good player board overlay, and printed several, none of them satisfied me, the problem with them is that the player markers do not fit exactly, due to the reason the length of the numbered spaces are made to fit for the number of cubes, there's no space between it. The height is ok but very marginal. And they still move, WHAT SPECIAL ABOUT MY OVERLAY. In this design the player board is clamped between a top and a bottom, so the player board always stays in place, even when you have to move it to another place. The layout for the "Player Markers" fits the player board. There no vertical ribs for the player markers, those are held in place with small knobs, this makes the player makers easy to move and still prevent them to fall out. (see last picture) Assembly: Print the 3 parts. Glue the bottom frame to the overlay top, make sure before you glue the top is in the correct position. I used fast-glue, only very small drops and clamped it for a few minutes. Slide your player board between the frame and the top. Check if the player board is on the right place. Put the bottom plate on one side in the frame, then bend the bottom plate and push it in the other side. (BE CAREFUL not let the bottom plate bite your fingers) The best method is when you sit on a table with your belly touching the table, then you slide the bottom plate in (belly side) and push the whole thing against your belly so the bottom plate will bend. Bottom plate don't need to be glued, so you can remove the player board any time. Happy game play.
