The simplest solution

The first and the simplest solution for me is to replace the old spring with new one with higher load abilities. My solution is to use blue spring from Meusburger company, cat. no.: E1543/50 x 152mm These spring are used in thermoforming and injection moulding. Thay can handle lot of pressure and the blue one is for the medium loads. If the load abilites is too small, you can always change to other spring with higher force load. So the sprinf is E1543/50 x 152mm [DIN ISO 10243] 1) length 152mm (6") 2) can be jam up to 57mm (2,25") 3) load 4560N force (456kg = 1023 pounds)
