<h2>Ok, let's address this properly at last:</h2> The problem with steering joint backlash has not been properly addressed until now. All those spacers available widely are temporarily removing the loose, but also create the tension on the front locking piece - here we got this part breaking quite often. The real issue in this joint is on its back, where the linking screw is. <p>There are two problems to be precise:</p> <ol> <li>There is a looseness on the joint axis once aluminium wears out around the screw,</li> <li>There is too much tolerance on the axis line, between lower and upper parts of the joint</li> </ol> This spacer addresses both of them in one go. Just print two of them, one mirrored, bend along the line where the raised rectangle is (with the flat surface facing inside of the bend) and put some effort to slide them between upper and lower joint parts. Choose the appropriate thickness for your joint and enjoy ;) My scooter has already over 600 km and I'm not the smoothest rider - still, no looseness on the joint that could be noticed. The best material is PET / PET-G, but PLA will do as well.
