Hope you enjoy my take on The Traveler from the Destiny and Destiny 2 games! I used various sources to try and map out the surface features of the Traveler. While the "front" face of the Traveler is well documented, the other faces are not so. I used what material I could, along with some creativity to try and fill in the blanks. The sphere of the model is 100mm in diameter. The "Traveler Body" file should print fine without extra supports as I designed built in supports to cut down and any issues. These built in supports should break off without much issue and little cleanup. I do recommend printing the other parts with supports enabled. If you choose to print the "Stand" file, it should print fine without supports. For ease of printing I decided to design this with a removable base that screws in to the main body. For extra fun, I took inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:527736 to design a tea light holder for this model that allows for activation with a simple twist of the tea light holder. Here is the model of tea light I designed the print around: Acmee Acrylic Flower Shape Mini LED Submersible Vase Light Underwater Waterproof Tealight for Wedding Party Home (White, Pack of 12) (affiliate link) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010P2BPQA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (regular link) I've included two different tea light holder files. One has a recessed slot to turn the holder to activate the light, while the second one has a raised portion that can also be used as a stand for the model. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found I was having some trouble threading the Traveler base into the Traveler body. To fix this, I added two 4.5mm holes into the Base file that allow you to use a "pin face spanner" tool to screw the parts together. You can find a tool that should work here: Universal Black Finish Steel Adjustable Face Spanner Wrench Pin Pliers For Round Nuts with Drilled Holes (4mm) (affiliate link) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HQH5P4L/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?pd_rd_i=B07HQH8PP8&pd_rd_w=WGt3s&pf_rd_p=2bd81721-c115-4b8d-93a3-2ecd17466ded&pd_rd_wg=xXLNP&pf_rd_r=B3DBB1QJ60QD4D806VP5&pd_rd_r=2339352c-2bd9-11e9-8a86-1d7479451c7c&th=1 (regular link) If like me, you don't own a pin face spanner tool, I designed a stand for the traveler that also doubles as one! All you need is to install either M4 screws or a 4mm dowel/rod cut to size. You should be able to find both things at your local hardware store for cheap!
