The Vending Machine Project- The Chaos Collection

In our Multimedia class we were given a challenge to make 3D printed toys that would fit in a vending machine capsule. The purpose of the project was to learn about 3D modeling and 3D printing and share this with our school and beyond. Each student was responsible for creating 5 designs, and learned about how to design models that don’t need support material or adhesion. My design series is called “The Chaos Collection”. The designs were made with love…and 3D filament. Some challenges were splitting them into manageable yet aesthetically pleasing pieces. The things I most like about the models are the absolute madness they represent. The first model is Chaos Beethoven, a trans-dimensional being whom’s very presence in this realm is battled by existence itself. The second model is Abomination David, a creature from the depths of the underworld, most assume he’s no good, but in reality, he’s very peaceful and passionate about painting. The third model is Skelebust, a tribute to Lord Bonn “Bones” Everett III, the king and ruler of the lands from 1230ACE to 1280ACE, what a great ruler he was. The fourth model is Leggs, a great and respected model from ancient times, their career was very controversial and their existence was nearly wiped from record by those who were in power during history, but little did they know that we have this artifact from that time, proving their place in history. The fifth and final model is Faceball™, the best seller product from Kevill™ Industries. Who wouldn’t want a bouncy ball that converses with the user and convinces them to do horrible things? I know I wouldn’t not want to have one, and no, my Faceball™ is not telling me to say that. Instructions Print using no less than 20% fill. Default speed and heat, no supports or rafts. W.R.
