Im an engineer but also a romantic fool with a big appreciation and love Monet's paintings of waterlily's and so i have designed this ring with his impressionistic interpretation of a waterlily as my inspiration. I always seem to go for the extreme when i design and this ring is a true testament to that fact. The ring is designed with 7 big round and soft leafs and 5 long stamens each holding 5 big sapphires in their four finger prongs. The two holes at the buttom of the ring so that it can also be used as a necklace pendant. I added this feature since the ring falls into the category of very big rings with its crownleafs diameter at 35mm and it's therefore not a ring everybody would be able to wear on their finger everyday making the design both functional and in my humble opinion a beautiful .As for method of production I'm planing on having the design printed in a wax resin and then set the stones directly into the wax model and then cast it using Lost wax casting method. Which is a method widely used today.
