The Who Logo Plate

The Who Logo Plate

thingiverse

This is a relatively large logo plate for the band "The Who". It is a "glue together" item and the intent is to print it in 4 different colors, as shown. There is a .01" gap designed-in between the rings, and a corner radius on the bottom edges of the rings (to avoid first-layer swell), so it should go together fine assuming your first layer and nozzle gap is set up fairly well. Print Settings Printer: Craftbot Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm layers Infill: 20% Triangular Notes: I did this with 4 top and bottom layers and three shells in PLA. Sliced with S3D using "concentric infill" on the external layers. That's what gives the unique surface texture on the rings and text. Post-Printing I carefully glued this together using Super Glue (CA gel). I laid down a piece of wax paper on a flat surface, applied the CA to the ID of the bores and popped in the rings. I glued the text on "by eye". How I Designed This The logo text was essentially traced from an on-line image.
