The Young Lovers by Georg Ehrlich at Festival Gardens in London

This life-size bronze sculpture shows a young couple, both naked, seated side-by-side. The girl has both her arms wrapped around the man's waist and he has his left arm across the girl's stomach with his hand under her left arm pit. His right hand is at the girl's back with his hand caressing the girl's neck. Their cheeks are resting against each other in a gesture of love that is seen on a daily basis. This fine sculpture is located at the centre of Festival Gardens in the shadow of St. Paul's Cathedral in the centre of London's financial district. Designed by the great sculptor George Ehrlich, the piece is one of his more well known works and represents peace and love amongst the madness of the city life that surrounds them. Ehrlich is well known for his sculptures, many of which can be found in some of the best galleries around the world. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
