This is a Theoben Rapid Airgun Shroud I designed for anyone without access to a lathe to use to make their own shroud. Standard barrel length of around 16" and diameter of approximately 15.75-15.8mm (5/8") from the factory. The holes in the parts are 6mm to suit a 5.5mm (.22) pellet (very close tolerance to help strip air from around the pellet) but the original files are in there for you to adjust to suit your caliber. It's designed for use with 28mm OD x 26mm ID x 1mm Wall Thickness high tolerance Carbon Fibre tube. I've included the CAD file for the tube for reference, its for a 600mm tube but can be adapted to any length you want. Grubscrew holes are for M4 but will require a drill and tap to make it the exact size to avoid splitting layers.I have managed to insert grubscrews into the holes in PLA without splitting layers but its hit and miss whether you manage it or not correctly. The air stripper needs correct alignment with the bore so make sure you use two grubscrews and look down the barrel with it removed from the gun. If possible rod a pellet up the bore to check the alignment. The design is meant to be back venting out of the rear support so use sound deadening materials next to the barrel if you want slow the air down as it vents back down the shroud. the cages are to be wrapped in felt to deaden the sound. Big thanks to bucketboy on the Rapid7ownersclub.com for his advise on the design (contact him on there if you want one of his great shrouds making, they are extremely quiet). This design is not to be sold on or used in manufacturing of saleable products. Check the licence for more info.
