Theodian Lamella v6.2

Theodian Lamella v6.2

thingiverse

This is the 6th major revision and 2nd minor revision of the lamellar armor plates I've been designing for my micronation, Theodia. The thing that's cool about this lamella design, is that, when assembled, no cords are exposed, meaning the armor should hold up much longer against sharp weaponry. I personally recommend fabricating this the conventional way with UHMW, since it's armor and doing that will get you some decent bullet-resistance; but it's still cool to be able to just print it. Like, printing out body armor: how cool is that? It's also my first 3D model ever (if you exclude the one we did in game programming class (we were just following a tutorial) or the sphere I made a decade ago in some unnamed 3D editor), and so has a few too many vertices. I'm still getting used to Blender. But starting it in Inkscape helped a lot.
