Thicker gears for NEMA 17 Reducer for Extruder
thingiverse
I'm a big fan of fernandoant's "NEMA 17 Reducer for Extruder," but unfortunately, my stepper motor kept wearing out the inside of the smaller gear due to excessive stress. To combat this issue, I created a remix that boosts the thickness of the gears by 75% and adds about 4.25mm to the housing height to accommodate these sturdier gears. So far, these upgraded gears have withstood wear and tear significantly better than the originals.\r\n\r\nTo print this modified design successfully, you'll need to acquire the FrontFlange and Spacer from the original design, along with possibly the Holder depending on your specific setup requirements. For detailed hardware needs and assembly instructions, refer to the original thing description for guidance.
