<p>Had a noname Chinese Thin ITX form factor motherboard laying around with an AMD E-450 APU, for which I couldn't find a case, which would accept a 12cm cooling fan, and would still be small enough, so I came up with my own design.</p><p>At the moment, the case doesn't fit regular Mini ITX boards, because the cutout for the I/O panel isn't high enough to fit the connectors. Thin ITX boards have a lower profile, including the rear I/O connectors. The case was designed with a such a board in mind, which has an external PSU input. You can use boards with a 20 or 24 pin ATX PSU connector, with a picoPSU, if you won't mind the power cable dangling out the back (or remixing the model). Also, there's no provision for a power button (yet), I just set my board to turn on when power is restored.</p><p>I printed the top of my case from translucent black PETG by FilamentPM (aka Plasty Mladeč) and the bottom cover from Prusament PLA Galaxy Silver.</p><p>In order to install the motherboard, you will need the following:<br>- 4x 10mm M3 standoffs (female-female or F-M if used with a F-F 50mm standoff)<br>- 4x 50mm M3 standoffs (female-male or F-F if used with a F-M 10mm standoff)<br>- 8x M3 8-10mm screws with a countersunk head</p><p>Installation instructions:<br>- Populate your motherboard with RAM and storage (M.2 SSD in my case). If the board has a small whiney CPU cooler fan, remove it from the heatsink.<br>- Locate the four mounting holes on the motherboard and screw together the standoffs through the board, so the shorter standoff is on the bottom of the mainboard<br>- Mount the 12cm fan on the bottom cover of the case. I installed it as an exhaust fan, you might want to install it in reverse, so it sucks air in. Connect the fan cable to the appropriate header on the motherboard.<br>- Place the bottom cover on the longer standoffs of the motherboard, align the holes with the standoffs and screw on the bottom cover.<br>- Place the assembly of the board and bottom cover into the top cover, and screw in the four leftover screws.</p>
