Thing T. Thing Lamp update: base files have been revised - if you have problems printing the base, load the new files (..._v2). hello, i think thing adams is so cool and wanted to have a lamp that looks like this. so i made a base with the fingers on it and lit it from the inside. either simply place the hand in the holes - or glue it on. you can glue on the end piece of the hand - but it also works without. the base is made of two parts. inside are five WS2812B and a wemos d1 mini 3.0.0. the 5 leds are pressed in and soldered. then connect to the controller and the power supply. for the power connector there are 2 variants. one is a small magnetic connector and the other is a usb-c connector. use whichever you like. you have to install a .bin-file on the wemos and set it up. see the instructions and links for software and product notes: https://aliexpress.com/item/33026835790.html https://aliexpress.com/item/1005003631653838.html (type c) https://aliexpress.com/item/1005003191740861.html https://aliexpress.com/item/4001142182616.html please note - the usb c socket must look exactly like in the pictures, otherwise it will not fit. to program and use the wemos board, the following links are needed • flasher: https://github.com/esphome/esphome-flasher/releases • wled instructions: https://kno.wled.ge/ • wled bin: https://github.com/Aircoookie/WLED/releases/tag/v0.13.1 for the wemos d1 mini this is needed (use the version 0.13.1): WLED_0.13.1_ESP8266.bin https://youtu.be/jcMmgcjzNhs you could also cover the fingernails with some paint - makes the look a little creepier...
