Third Year Project: Stored Energy Vehicle

In a 11-week group project, we crafted a vehicle that rolled down a ramp with a minimum travel time of two seconds, ultimately reaching a higher altitude. The innovative ratchet magnet quick release mechanism launched the design. It harnessed energy through two 1200N gas springs and efficiently transmitted it to the wheels via a 1/256 gear ratio, further boosted by two flywheels. Our team achieved an outstanding 100% on test day!
