Thracians were one of the Ancient tribes who inhabited Thrace and later became known as Macedonian Empire, Emathia. Technically although most Albanians identify themselves with the Illyrian tribes, the Albanians from Albania Middle of Albania exactly are mostly descendants of Thracian tribes. This region has been controlled by the Thracians ever since bronze age. The Taulanti tribe ruled and controlled the region since the bronze age and found the many ancient and classical cities in antiquity. Very little is known about the Thracian their peak was with Philip the II of Macedon and his Son Alexander the Great who was a Thracian not a Greek which is common misconception. In actuality Alexander conquered and enslaved the Hellens and pretty much everybody else. The Thracians were smart tactical brutal and very skillful warriors. Out of all the Tribes the Romans feared the Thracians the most. And during the Roman Republic the Thracians were upheld as the greatest and most skillful Gladiators. Also the Thracians were responsible for conquest of Persia in the Bronze age with Cyrus the II or Cyrus the Great emperor of Somathrace who invaded and colonized Persia. It is from thracians that the modern Iranians descend from and that is why Iranian is an Indo-European Language.
