This is a simple thread tap holder for one of my larger taps. I would use this when tapping aluminium, plastic or thinner steels. My gut tells me the ABS would break on the tougher jobs. but this is handy to have with the tool for the quick and dirty job. The idea is that it fits with the tap in the same case that the tool comes with. You will need to scale the model up to factor in your shrinkage, for my black 1.75mm ABS this seems to be about 4%, I have seen suggestions that this could be as high as 8%. In Repetier I use the value 1.04 in the scaling function.
