Three Acolytes

From the Ark of St. Dominic in Bologna's historic church of St. Dominic, it was acquired by the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in 1903. An assistant or follower assists the celebrant during a religious service or procession as an acolyte, serving alongside them. In many Christian denominations, anyone who performs ceremonial duties such as lighting altar candles is considered an acolyte. Others use the term for those who have been inducted into a specific liturgical ministry, even when not actively performing these tasks. This object is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. Through this project, we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world for the public to access at no cost. "Scan The World" is an open-source, community-driven effort where anyone with interesting items can contribute by emailing stw@myminifactory.com to learn how they can participate and help.
