Three Dot Nerf Sights

Three Dot Nerf Sights

These are a set of front and rear sights that will mount on the standard Nerf accessory rail. The original design was a great set of sights by RayvenLover. I changed it to make the front sight longer, enhance it to better suit printing the dots in a different color, and added a friction nib to the bottom of the sight to prevent the sight from moving. I had to remove a separator between the rail sections on my Nerf gun to be able to slide the front sight all the way from the back to the front on my Hammershot. You likely will not be able to clip the sight over the rail without breaking it. To achieve the bright dots on the black background, use a filament change script to allow you to change the filament from black for the sight main body to a more visible color for the dot such as white, yellow, or orange. Place the model on the print bed with the dot facing up so that it is the last thing that is printed. Once you slice the model at the resolution you like, determine the first layer where the dot is isolated and have the filament change there. The script I used to change the filament for my Prusa MK2S came from this page https://www.thingiverse.com/groups/simplify3d/topic:10525
