This is a component of a prototype I created (designed in Fusion 360). While my model didn't prove to be useful, I decided this individual component might be helpful to someone else.

My gut reaction is that supports are absolutely required. I needed to trim the model just a bit with an X-Acto knife where there were supports (at the bottom of the blades/prongs).

One probably doesn't need 70% infill. If I re-printed this, I'd probably go lower, like 25%?

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

Yes

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.20mm

Infill:

70%

How I Designed This

Modelled in Fusion 360

I designed this by first looking up the specifications for USA three prong AC plugs and then modeled it in Fusion 360.

Category: Buildings & Structures
