I finally came around to design a mount for a waterproof camera case (gopro style) that will fit on the dome of my Thunder Tiger Neptune SB-1 Submarine. It bolts in place, so no drilling needed :-) I also added vents for the air to escape out of the dome. The sketschup file is included, in case you want to change anything.
