This is a tie. It is made from panels. Each panels are connected with flexible connector featuring living hinges/springs. There are 3 hinges with different thickness. Their thickness are: Flexconn rev.0 with 0.03125" thick spring Flexconn rev.1 with 0.03500" thick spring Flexconn rev.2 with 0.03800" thick spring Flexconn rev.3 with 0.04000" thick spring There are actually 4, aren't there?! These Flexconn do break a lot. So print as many as you can for spare parts. When these Flexconns break, the Flexible Sheet will prevent tie breakage. Flexible Sheet can printed in transparency paper on any color plastic sheet to further accent the look. These Flexible sheet and Flexconn are fastened to the panels with 4 pieces of 4-40 countersunk machine screws that are 1/8" long. There are seven of them on a tie, 28 totals screws. Here's a link to order the semi standard screw:https://www.boltdepot.com/Product-Details.aspx?product=9714 As far as printing the panel. The panel will look better and probly print faster if you orient the build vertically. During print arrangements, please ensure that the observe/front surface of the panel are facing outward. This is to ensure tie's observe surface quality. (ie. no filament drag/hair. See Toolpath and filament drag/hair picture) The Flexconn are better printed flat. So if you want to print the Panels and the Flexconn together with different color, just make sure you float the Panel above the Flexconn. That way only the support for the panel come out with 2 colors. Anyway play around with the printer orientation. I'm sure you guys and gals will figure it out. This tie is 19inches long. If you are 5ft 3in to 5ft 8in, you're fine. Add 3 inches of tie length for every 6 inches of body height. So scale accordingly and uniformly. Please remember to scale the Flexconn and Flexible Sheet as well. Btw, the design was inspired by "Sweet As!" Tie from "made in Jupiter".
