Tie Advanced X1

Tie Advanced X1

This is a detailed (though not immensely accurate) model of the Imperial Tie Advanced X1 - Darth Vader's Tie Fighter It is fully printable, without any nasty overhangs, bridges, etc. Also, there are alignment pegs for assembling the two halves. The model shown was printed on a Fablicator www.Fablicator.com I stumbled upon Chanson's detailed Solidworks model over on grabcad, and did some very heavy modification to make it printable, while maintaining as much detail as possible. Original can be found here: http://grabcad.com/library/darth-vaders-tie-fighter Instructions Print the two halves. PLA is preferred due to the size of the rear fuselage, but ABS/HIPS will work with a full height skirt to keep things from warping too much (you can see the rear panels have some waviness to them :/ ) I used .2mm layer height for good details. Superglue the two halves together. Rule galaxy with iron fist, and don't forget to protect your exhaust ports.
