Putting my WIP Tiger I build here for safekeeping just in case my PC dies (it's rather questionable). I think it looks great, but remember, it's still a WIP build. I know some integral parts are missing. During the Second World War, there was no tank that was more feared than the Tiger I. Its' 88mm cannon was specifically requested by Hitler, and could put holes in Allied tanks at extreme ranges, sometimes upwards of 1500m. Needless to say, it was a formidable war machine, but, like many other German technologies, was, in the end, defeated not by it's opponents, but by it's own complexity. The Tiger I was notorious for its' unreliable power train and other overcomplicated components. The German doctrine of quality over quantity, not to mention other supply chain and production problems, led to only 1,347 being built, compared to 50,000 Sherman and 54,000 T-34 tanks built to counter it. The Tiger I was by no stretch overcomplicated, but an engineering marvel it truly was.
