Tiko Rod and Carriage

Tiko Rod and Carriage

thingiverse

This is a replacement rod and carriage for the Tiko 3D printer. YMMV depending on how your printer does. You might need a raft and supports to help the ball print. Print it flat with the ball socket opening up. This is a work in progress and I got the best results by warming up the socket a bit and then placing it on the ball. I then form fitted it while it was still a little softer for a snug fit. I printed them with PLA but I want to try nylon when I have a chance to see if that helps wth the socket. As always this is a work in progress! Print carriage part a flat and print part B standing on end. Part B slides into part A. I designed this in 2 parts so that part B can be printed out of a different material such as nylon or the IGUS bearing materials that are available.
