This is an anemometer (wind velocity meter) designed to measure wind speed in conjunction with an Arduino utilizing a tilt switch (the rattling thing in a pedometer). The system works by having a neodymium magnet (12mm tall, 6.5mm diameter) embedded in the rotor, below that is a tilt switch that when directly under the magnet becomes open. By counting how many times the state changes per minute, you can calculate wind speed. The module is designed to slip over a 1/2' PVC pipe. Required Hardware M3 Screws x6 603 (fidget spinner) ball bearing 6.5mm diameter x 12 mm neodymium magnet. Tilt Switch.
