Tiny Epic Galaxies board game player mat overlay

<p>I created this print because the popular board game, “Tiny Epic Galaxies” player mat/playing pieces have a very low friction coefficient. &nbsp;During game play it is common for the pieces to slide from their proper position into an adjacent space requiring the player's constant attention and detracting from the game play experience. &nbsp;In order to prevent this accidental movement I created an overly that the player mat is inserted into without destroying the card or harming the mat in any way. &nbsp;The cards can be left in the insert but we prefer to remove them before putting the game away. &nbsp;The overlay creates 2mm high borders around the important piece positions, preventing unintentional movement. &nbsp;The work fantastic! &nbsp;Now, instead of reserving a part of our brains for monitoring and constant readjustment of player pieces, we are totally immersed in the game!</p><p>It's printed in two pieces. &nbsp;The base and the main overlay. &nbsp;Simply apply glue to the two tabs on the back of the overlay and insert into the two corresponding slots on the base. &nbsp;Once dried, the card can be easily inserted from the right. &nbsp; The base has a small border that extends upward just enough to hold the player card in position on the left side of the overlay. &nbsp;To remove the player card push up on the lower right corner of the card from underneath the base so as to clear the small tab on the right side of the base. &nbsp;Simultaneously slide the card to the right to remove the card.</p><p>PETG is recommended and the part was designed for .3mm layer height, though it will print well at higher resolutions too. &nbsp;I used Atomic Marble PETG. &nbsp;The PrusaSlicer project file is also included for your convenience.</p><p>Game pieces, player mat and game art by Gamelyn Games.</p><p>Carry on, Commanders!</p>
