The tissue array is a mold to accommodate 36 biopsies from an array of tissues. These were obtained by punching paraffin embedded tissues with 2mm biopsy punch pen (Miltex, Painsbory Township, NJ USA) as published in (Nemanichvili, Nikoloz & Berends, Alinda & Wubbolts, Richard & Gröne, Andrea & Rijks, Jolianne & de Vries, Robert & Verheije, Monique. (2021). Tissue Microarrays to Visualize Influenza D Attachment to Host Receptors in the Respiratory Tract of Farm Animals. Viruses. 13. 586. 10.3390/v13040586.). The adapter fits into a a paraffin embedding station to supplement paraffin and allows trimming and sectioning into 0.3 micrometer slices for classical histological processing.
