Tissue Box Wall Hanger Remix (Dual size box capable)

Note: Added the magnetic capable version as well. If you print the magnetic capable version, you can still wall mount it just like the original remix. First and foremost, Thank you Xuis for the great original design! (Also, thank you for uploading the fusion 360 file so I could have a serious head start on the remix!) I really liked the practical design of the original from Xuis, and how it frees up countertop/desktop space as you can see from the various makes. I had a few minor issues with the original design after implementing two prints that I've addressed with this remix. The Tweaks of the Remix 1. I wanted it to be able to use both the smaller Kleenex/Tissue boxes (as is the intent of the original design), as well as the larger Kleenex/Tissue boxes, which would not fit the original design. This new remix is designed to accommodate a pull down from the bottom smaller box (~112mm) as well as a pull from the side larger box (~120mm) all in one print. The smaller box that draws the tissue from the bottom should "snap" into place as it moves past small "grips/guides" while pushing it down into the slot. There are "rails" on the back so larger box fits snug so that when you pull a tissue, the box is held firmly in place and does not move. 2. When I mounted the original design to the wall with screws, the protruded out enough that the box would get hung up when I'd put a new one in. It's not hard to get around by just compressing the box a little, but this new remix fixes that with countersunk chamfer holes for the screw mounts. If you use double sided tape to mount, then this isn't really an issue. 3. I increased the size of the opening on the bottom to help reduce the issue of tissues tearing, which would occasionally happen as the cardboard opening was slightly wider than the hole in the original design. Along with this, I added a lot of fillets to edges of the part just to help smooth/round them all out. In addition to the above tweaks, I've changed the wall thickness of the three walls that don't have the screw holes to 1.6mm, accommodating a solid wall with 2 layers (4 layers thick total counting inside and out) using a 0.4mm nozzle. I changed the wall thickness from the original design on the part wall that attaches to an actual wall (or desk) to 2.4mm, to give it more rigidity in mounting and line up with 3 wall thicknesses for a 0.4mm nozzle (3 inside walls and 3 outside walls at 0.4mm per wall is 2.4 mm total). This tweak reduces the overall print time significantly vs the original 3mm walls, and means the remixed design takes about the same as the original design from Xuis to print (~14hrs on my Ender 3 V2). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Print Settings Print with 3 walls to ensure the part walls are solid. This doesn't really add any time to the overall print and significantly increased durability, particularly if it gets bumped into with a shoulder inadvertently. No supports are needed, but you could use supports if you wanted to ensure the two screw holes don't have any hangs if you're printer isn't fully dialed in. I highly recommend a brim to ensure the base remains flat as it's printed. It will inevitably cool unevenly during the print and the brim ensures the edges don't lift up off the build surface. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation (The two screw holes are unique for a reason. Follow these steps below for mounting to a wall/desk.) 1) Note that if you screw this into the wall, you want to mark and mount the lower screw first. One that screw is installed into the wall, the Tissue Holder can be installed on that screw. 2) Once the lower screw is installed and the tissue holder mounted on that, then you can level the holder and mark the upper screw hole position. 3) After drilling a pilot hole (assuming that's needed), you can now install the upper screw which secures the tissue holder firmly in place. (see my remix for a magnetized version for mounting to a fridge, or other metal structure) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please provide feedback. I spent many many hours on this remix and have gone through 10 different versions of this design on Fusion 360. I finally decided to just post this version and solicit feedback on how it can be improved (I've already got 6 of these various versions printed for myself, so I'd rather not keep printing more). For reference, I'm using the Costco Kirkland brand tissue boxes, so that's what the dimensions are based on.
