Tobis Shield (Corona Covid19 Face Shield for Laser Cutter)

This is a lasercut face shield inspired by the famous Prusa 3D-printed face shield. It combines its comfort at wear with short production times. It consists of two head bands cut of 0.5mm PETG or PA, a "sunshade" cut from 3mm Acrylic, two hooks for the elastic band, a Buttonhole Elastic Band 15-20mm wide and 6 hollow rivets with 4-4.3mm outer diameter. For the transparent part look below. For assembly you will need a hollow rivet tool, I recommend this approach for mass production. Alternatively you can also use brass fasteners for packaging, these require no tools for assembly. ## There are three flavours available, depending which transparent material you are using: • ISO: one for shields made with a 4 hole (6mm holes, 80mm apart, ISO-Standard) hole punch for DINA4 sheet material or prepunched off-the-shelf material. • US: one for 3 hole (108mm) for the imperial folks. • (coming soon) Prusa: one for the Prusa-compatible shields which are 24cm x 24cm in dimension. If you want to make the transparent part of the faceshield yourself, just use DINA4 or LETTER transparent sheets and make holes with a holestamp.
