Toilet Seat Bumpers

Toilet Seat Bumpers

thingiverse

These bumpers replace deteriorated originals on a Mayfair toilet seat. The gallery photo shows a deteriorated original on the left, and printed replacement on the right. Generic bumpers on offer in a hardware store mount with an adhesive backing, not the more robust pins-in-holes scheme of the original. Generics are also twice as thick, and have an ugly round half-sausage shape. Instructions Remove an original (hopefully not too deteriorated) bumper, measure with calipers, and compare to parameters in the first .scad file. If they match, and your printer is perfectly calibrated, just print the corresponding .stl file and install your new bumper. In my case, the printed part was a tad larger than designed. A second set of .scad/.stl files is corrected to compensate. If you need different dimensions, you will have to change parameters in the .scad file accordingly and create a modified .stl from it.
