Tolerance block

Tolerance block

This is a Tolerance block. It is used to test and teach individuals the mechanical tolerance one can engineer. It also is a test for a 3D printer so one can determine the accuracy of a 3d printer. Not all printers print equally. I have determined a LulzBot TAZ 3D Printer prints to a .4mm tolerance that a uPrint SE Plus equally prints at .2mm tolerance, a tight fit. But a .4mm tolerance on a Stratus Uprint is a loose fit, nearly a friction less glide. For the Hexigonal key, the sides are 10mm across. For the Circular key, it is 10mm dia across. For the key holes, the dia or wall to wall distance increases by 10.1mm, 10.2mm, 10.3mm and so on.15mm key hole depth. Be carefull!!!! If you force the key into a hole to small you may never get it out!!!!! XD. Have Fun kiddos.
