Tom Servo Remix

This model is a remix of the original by Supinemonkey. I modified some of Tom's parts to make them easier to print, as well as to create a working puppet with moveable mouth and turning head. The barrel and hoverskirt have large holes to allow insertion of 1/2" PVC pipe. At the top, an approx. 1" section of PVC pipe is glued into a shallow depression at the front of Tom's face and forms his rotating neck. At the bottom, a longer section of PVC is glued in to make a handle. A piece of 3/16" dowel is put into a special wedge insert inside the 1" PVC neck and feeds down through the PVC handle to a wood handle so his head can be rotated. The back of his face can be left unglued, so you can access his mechanism for repairs. A separate jaw piece is inserted, with a rubber band to make it close, and fishing line is threaded up and over a small 3/16" dowel and then back down to the wood handle to a control ring. The hoverskirt is hollowed out to save plastic. The arms, shoulders, and hands have a peg and hole feature so they can be easily aligned and glued together. Tom's V-8 chest motor has been molded into his barrel body, which is split in 2 for ease of printing. The 8 pipes on his chest are a separate piece. For the clear globe, go to Supinemonkey's original design to find the link to an eBay seller who carries this specific size and type of globe, or use Supinemonkey's printable globe file. ***I just uploaded the neck wedge piece, that gets glued into the top PVC neck piece, which has a 3/16" hole in the bottom to glue the control rod into. The wedge has a cutoff side to allow the fishing line to thread down to the bottom wood handle and control ring.
