This is my first time attempt to making anything close to a pod. Wound up being more of a half shell than a pod. Couple of years ago, a fellow quad builder set out to make pods and ascertained that it couldn't be done in TinkerCAD. A month ago, after not having flown my Mikro in a year, I decided to force myself to replace the broken cam/vtx, find better props and get this cute lil bugger tuned and flying like a real quad. But then, the replacement cam/vtx had its antenna off to the side which made it impossible to conform to the Mikro's original top plate. That set me off to designing a top plate alternative which is here among my designs. It's PLA based and pretty strong. One thing accomplished plants another seed, and this one triggered me into seeing if I can actually make TinkerCad conform to my mind's idea for a pod. It was a learning experience for sure. Probably not the way to go in the long run as you'll probably want to learn how to use the real CAD tools. But, at least you now know what I know, and that it is possible to do in TinkerCad. I'm already "tinkering" around with a newer design from scratch. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this one. It is TPU based, meaning, it will not be strong if you print in PLA. Trust me. Tried that just to see, and decided TPU is the appropriate material. The only thing about this design that I'm not totally happy with is easy access to the VTX band/channel buttons from the top. There is none. You have to use a thin poker and go in from the side. The last other thing is, there isn't in my opinion, total protection for your cam. Which is why I set off to design another one. If you're a beginner just learning to fly, you probably want to stick with the original top plate as much as possible to protect your FPV gear or, find a better half shell/pod. Cheers, and happy flying
