A tool grip - with a triangular shape - for holding drill bits, broaches, countersinks, files, workpieces and so on.A set with two pieces, which clamps cylindrical shafts with a diameter from1,8 to 2,5 mm and from 3,2 mm to 3,5 mm.The grip is made of plastic (injection moulded), could be manufactured by machining (CNC) or can be alternative 3D-printed. Both metal parts can be made of brass or alternative metallic materials. In a simplified version the grip can be manufactured of wooden material too.An improvement for inserting and fastening of the collet in the grip- for a better safety against a radial movement - is surely possible.Thinkable is an additional hexagon profil on the collet and in the grip.Make your own design!A two-part version for reducing the wall thickness of the grip is - may be - the best solution.Think about the position for the parting of the two seperate parts. To find it out is not really difficult! Note:Threads are really modelled (M8 x 1,0) with theoretical values and therefore without clearance. The complete assembly/assemblies of the model(s) is/are availablein the STEP-format (.stp) and as native files (.prt) and (.asm) in a "zipped" folder for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
