The gear door holders on the TopFlite Giant Scale P-47 ARF are hard to use. For one thing, I ended up with the strut so close to the side of the wheel well that the included brace cannot circle the strut (it surrounds the strut on all sides, and so hits the wheel well). Another problem is the mounting method - you are supposed to file down a screw until it tightens against the strut and the door at the same time. Well, that is just silly. Whoever came up with that idea should be slapped with a dead fish. Also, I couldn't get the gear doors flush with the bottom of the wing - the brace was just too tall. So, I made a different brace. This brace can be snapped onto the strut, and holds on by pressure. One side of it is flush with the strut so you can face that side to wherever you have less clearance from the wheel well. This has worked well for me. It is a very simple file, but somebody asked for it, so here it is. Also I include the Autodesk Fusion 360 file, if you want to play with that. For example, you could make the gripping section longer or shorter to make it grip the strut more or less. Mine snaps on with a nice tight fit. I include STL files for 3 different heights (52, 56, and 60mm) - I don't remember which one I used. You should select one that puts your gear door at the right offset.
