This is a Tormach tool tightening system that mounts to the table. It uses 2 one way needle bearings, one to tighten and one to loosen the collet nut. This is not really a 3D printed project except for the bearing cover. The Fusion360 link is provided to do the machining of the base.

It's on a 3 x 4 x .75 inch piece of Aluminum. I spotted and drilled 4ea 1/2 inch holes and then bored the bearing holes to .998 inches. I just step up the bore offset until I got the

press fit I needed. If you've got a reamer it be quicker.

Make sure you have one bearing opposite the other before pressing them both in. I got the bearings off ebay for about $7 dollars a piece. The one I used on the drawing is pretty pricy.

Mounts with 2ea. 1/2 inch 1.5 botts to t-nuts.

Fusion 360 LInk https://a360.co/2TkrfWi

Hope it's usefull to someone.

Cheers

Kisssys
Category: Machine Tools
