Was inspired by the various vase mode spiral prints I saw on this website, and decided to design my own! The form comes from a square extruded vertically with a 180 degree twist. Filament I used was AMZ3D Wood Filament. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: Vase Mode Notes: Relevant Settings: Vase Mode Enabled (Called single outline corkscrew printing mode in Simplify3D) Nozzle Height: 0.2mm Nozzle Extrusion Width: 0.52mm (Slightly fatter to allow more adhesion surface area) These two settings will decide if your print stays open or closed. Since I printed this to be used as a lampshade I left both to 0 so I got an open formed print. Bottom Solid Layers: 0 Top Solid Layers: 0 Brim: 3 skirt outlines (just a precautionary measure, since this print is hollow, there is very little surface area between the first layer and the build surface. May lead to your print pulling off your plate before it is finished printing. How I Designed This Modeled in Rhino with Grasshopper.
