Torsen LSD - Limited Slip Differential

Please check out this torsen LSD remix. It is a superior design and build than my own: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1722483 . . . . . . . . . Thanks to Sudhir Gill at grabcad for the basic torsen model: http://grabcad.com/library/torsen-differential-with-video-tutorial You will need to insert pins into one side of the housing to connect both together. For this I just used pieces of 1.75mm blue PLA filament. The wheels are also pinned to the axles using pieces of filament. The spur gears (12x) must be glued onto the worm wheels (6x). Install the gears onto the shaft to keep them aligned when gluing, but be careful not to glue the gears to the shaft because the shafts must be removable for final assembly. The worm drive gears (2x) should be glued onto the axles. The 6 shafts for the worm-wheel/spur-gear assemblies protrude from the differential housing so that shaft pairs can be tied together (o-rings, wires, ect) in order to handle the thrust created when the axles are counter-rotated. I have not got around to printing the updated shafts yet, so the printed model shown here lacks them. Parts can be lubed with silicone grease after complete assembly. The gears could also be sanded or acetone vapor polished for smoother mesh. If printing in ABS, I highly recommend printing the ring gear with the teeth facing upwards. It will otherwise curl. The base plate should be printed lengthwise up so it has the lowest amount of contact area with the platform to prevent curling.
