One way to conserve water is to save water from the shower or tub faucet as the water heats up. The water can be used to water plants or to "flush" the toilet.Rather than pour water directly into the toilet bowl (not a pleasant sight), this concept allows the toilet to be closed (lid lowered) and flushed normally. Water would then be be added to the storage tank as it refills.Toto is just one of hundreds of toilet manufacturers and thousands of toilet models used around the world.This concept takes advantage of 3D printing to create an item where demand would not justify mass production. 3D printing can also be used to add custom storage compartments or an integrated gasket.The 1:5 scale model shows how it can be decorated not only to hide the pouring basin, but also to prevent splashing from pouring too fast.I would like to thank Kawasmithi for the use of the "Toto Toilet" model in my assembly.
