Tower of Babylon (Hollowed Out Remix)

This is a remix of a design by Ali Alghadhbawi who issued his work under Creative Commons licensing. I used Meshmaker to meshmake an appropriately-sized cone within the model in order to subtract the difference. The model needs infill to accomplish printing some of the more complex structures of the model. I suggest 30% infill to fill in the rest of the model’s volume. The gray one (that I have included an image of) is an example of my copy of Ali’s model. The image of the black one at some point in the print task is my personal preview of what has been changed by the redesign. I personally want to knock out the windows so that I can insert a light within that emanates through the open windows. I have yet to figure out how to accurately approach this in a 3D modeling program, unfortunately. So at this time I am going to have resort to a deductive approach with my Dremel. I may later upload an image of the unique “lamp”.
