GrabCAD challenge ''Make it Real''»Toy Ball With Integrated Impeller«An entry which do not appear to be spectacular at first glance.A children's toy for many different applications, existing of two assembled transparent hollow ball halves and two assembled impellers, to one component. Each impeller has 3 wings and can rotate in axial direction only (clockwise and counter clockwise). But in combination with all possible rotation directions of the complete ball, it can makes optically an interesting impression. This ball is usable for many applications. One example could be a "Marple Run".Put some additional small balls into the hollow ball and you can get an accoustic impression too.The hollow balls have an outer diameter of 40 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm.The enveloping circle diameters of impellers are 30 mm, the wing thickness is 2 mm.For an explicite application the model can be easily scaled up or down, or use the concept only for creating your own model and change - for example - the number of the wings for the complete impeller from 6 to 8.My animated (.gif)-files show some of so many possible motion combinations. The model is available in following data formats:STEP-file (.stp) of the complete assembly.STL-files (.stl) of each part, respective all components of the assembly.VRML-files (.wrl)OBJ-files (.obj)PRINT-files (.print)Native files (.prt) and (.asm), in a (.zip)-folder, for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
