A friend asked for help in repairing or replacing a stripped gear for his grandson's favorite toy -- a little robot. I wasn't sure that anything could be done since it is only 14mm in diameter and has 26 teeth on the main gear and an attached smaller gear with 10 teeth. I printed this using nylon filament with a 0.2mm nozzle. Modelling it in Fusion 360 was pretty easy with the gear plugin that does all the math for you with just a few parameters. It isn't perfect but it very closely matches the stripped gear and works like a charm. The robot has magnetic feet and can even climb steel walls. I think this is the robot: https://www.sciplus.com/climbing-robot-magnet-kit-63578-p There are two gears attached to each other. The larger one is about 14mm diameter by 1.5mm high and has 26 teeth. The attached smaller gear is about 6mm diameter by 4mm high and has 10 teeth. A 2mm hole for the metal shaft goes through the gears. This is a video of the robot in action: https://youtu.be/D7yfSLg4D9A
