Hi there, here is a case for the Toyota Aygo key I made for a friend of mine. It's a common problem that the buttons break after some time. My friends Aygo is at least 10+ years old. You will find only the buttons on Thingiverse for 3D printing. So I decided to redesign the whole thing. It is a little bit bigger than the original key case but optimized for FDM printing so no supports are needed. ________________________________________________________________________ What you need: * 1x M3 Screw (10 mm long) * M3 Nut * AND REALLY IMPORTANT: - The magnet from the original key case or else the engine will not ignite! believe me, I learned it the hard way :) * optional. I used some rubberpads on the inside so the small board can't wiggle when shaking the case ________________________________________________________________________ Assembly The assembly should be pretty much self explanatory with the pictures, but nonetheless: * Open your old key and take out the board, the metal rodd and magnet from the original key * Put the board with the buttons facing upwards in the lower half to the pins. * add rubberpads if you like * push in the metal rodd into the lower half so the screw holes align. It should be a little bit tight due to friction. * Make sure to put the magnet in the exact position as shown in the pictures above or the engine won't ignite. It's a safety mechanism, so keys can't be copied too easy, like... with 3D printing ;) Please try out all functions of the key before giving it to anybody: opening, closing and igniting the engine. I don't take any warranties for your assembly or the overall function of your key (case). * Put in the open and close buttons, the close button shows a closed circle, the open button an open one. * put the to halfs together and fixate the whole thing with the M3 screw. The Upper and the lower half should already be held together through friction, I added the screw to hold the metal rodd and the halfs together safely. Good job.
