I'm working on this RC car body now, and I hope it will be completed in the late October 2020. The key points here are: 1. to make the model not sliced, as my previous one, VW Amarok Polar Expedition, but as a set of parts similar to the real ones (doors, hood, windows and so on) 2. to make the hood and back door are openable, and hide the chassis clips inside of the body 3. make the model more strong and robust 4. and of course, make it possible to print this model on a small/medium printer with table size 200x200 mm or more. Body size will be: 520mm length 230mm width 170mm height **Update (9 Oct 2020)** Rear part of the body is mostly done. Bumper is pretty thick, I hope it will help to protect the body from serious damage during the hard colliding. Bumper should be mounted with wings by bolts and nuts, but I'd advised to glue all the connection with special glue as well. I added simple lock for the trunk door, so it can be opened/closed when we need it. It will allow to hide the mounting clips inside of the body, as I supposed initially. Rear lights should be glued to the according rear quarters. Each rear light has two holes for LEDs, hole sizes are 8mm and 5mm. Glasses also should be glued in, I already printed door glass but forgot to add it to the photo. I tried to print the glass using the transparent PETG, but result is not so good as I expected. Probably it will be better to paint it out with black color, as it was done in Amarok. The next step is preparing the roof, and after that I will start working on the central part of the body. **Update (3 Nov 2020)** I mostly completed this model, the only thing which is still not ready - the roof rack. I'm not sure for now how ito make it reliable, robust and thin (and printable!) at the same time... I will try to do it in the next couple of week. Right now I'm printing the central part of the body, then I will continue with front. If results will be fine, I'll publish the rest of the parts. I hope that all the parts will be printed in 6-8 days. By the way, I had to make changes in the rear wings and quarters: these parts should be connected with screws/nuts, because it's not enough just to glue these parts near the rear lights to each other. So if you already printed these parts - guys, I'm sorry, but you will have to reprint them. **Update (18 Nov 2020)** The body parts are completed and printed, so now I publish these things and you can download all of them and make the body. Please pay attention, some old parts were removed, and I added the similar improved parts, with "v2" at the end. Don't use the old parts if you've printed any. The windows will be added a bit later, I suppose. Also, you will need 3 mini-springs (6x10mm) to make the locks. Pressing the radiator, you will be able to open the hood and get an access to the front mounting clips. The similar situation with the rear mounting clips: you have to open the trunk to unmount the body. Mount plates will be ready soon. By the way, my son advised me to make the trunk more functional: for example, we can make a real trunk flooring inside, so we could store the spare wheel and skid plates, for example. Good idea, I need to think it out!
