ToyREP Filament Holder

ToyREP Filament Holder

I wanted my future ToyREP to be even smaller so I thought about suspending the filament spool above the printer. I've purchased three meters of every rod, so it didn't cost me a single dollar. I'm not sure how well it will hold one kilogram, but I wouldn't even attempt that. Two hundred and fifty grams is plenty for me. For a 250-gram spool, the Z-Smooth rod should be four hundred millimeters long instead of two hundred ninety-five millimeters. For a 500-gram spool, the rod should be four hundred five millimeters long. For a one-kilogram spool, the rod should be four hundred ten millimeters long. Or perhaps shorter or longer, but you'll need to adjust it yourself. The files were created using these specifications: Two hundred fifty grams Spool diameter equals one hundred fifty-four millimeters. Five hundred grams Spool diameter equals one hundred eighty-four millimeters. One kilogram Spool diameter equals one hundred ninety-nine millimeters. Universal inner spool diameter equals fifty-four millimeters. Hopefully, these dimensions are universal. The holes at the bottom of the 250-gram, 500-gram, and one-kilogram spools are six millimeters, ten millimeters, and fifteen millimeters deep. The upper rod that will be holding the filament can be various lengths; mine is two hundred twenty-five millimeters long, but it's a bit short. Two hundred thirty millimeters would be better. But it depends on your build. I only use the 250-gram spool since the ToyREP isn't much of a consumer, but hopefully, the 500-gram and one-kilogram spools work too - I haven't tested them yet.
