A friend needed a lightweight protective case for their WD My Passport HDD that could withstand shocks in a bag. A simple TPU case was designed with holes for the USB cable, indicator lights, and additional openings to reduce weight. The sidewalls of the open holes provide rigidity and prevent soft spots. Printing two cases in blue and red would creates a Nintendo Switch-like appearance. The design uses 15% infill, is printed in TPU, and is friction-fit, making PLA or PETG materials unsuitable.
